A dedicated support for start-up of the business activities in Ventspils is available from the Ventspils High Technology Park Business Incubator. Basically that means that new companies on a very favourable conditions can rent the necessary office space, as well as acquire significant financial support for different consulting and technological development issues. The money for the operations of the business incubator and for support of the companies has been attracted from the EU Structural Funds programme and will be available for next 5 years.

The support from the Business Incuabator is dependant on the age of the company:

This means that during the first year spent in the incubator company pays only 15% (or 20%) from the total costs of the service. In the second year only 40% (or 45%) etc.

A company can get support for the following services:

Legal address of company – if the legal address is necessary it is available in BI (Inženieru Street 101, Ventspils, LV-3600, Latvia). Use of this legal address provides reception of the post directly to your workplace. Additional charge for use of legal address is not required.

Support in the registration of Company – using own experience and collaboration channels the Business Incubator can provide support in the establishment of a Companyl.
Infrastructure - companies operating in the incubator receive high quality office space and office equipment (computers, furniture). It also provides residential services and access to laboratories.
Secretary services - secretary services are available any time during working hours. Companies can use printer, photocopier, scanner , fax and also post services to send/receive mail, telephone services and use of conference premises and the respective equipment.
Development of new technologies and innovative products - using the extensive collaboration network of the Ventspils High Technology Park new companies are provided with opportunity to develop, test and introduce new technologies and new products for manufacturing.
Consultancy services - with the financial support from the Business Incubator it is possible to receive the support for the following services:
